At Chrysalis, students can in engage in a free public education in which teachers do not give letter grades but instead provide rich interactive discussion and feedback within the class setting. Chrysalis also offers a Science and Nature Study program in which students spend significant time outdoors - rain or shine - on walks, field trips, and camping trips, learning about the natural history of our region. We do this because the natural world generates a rich response in the human mind. We believe that understanding kindles a student's enthusiasm and inner light and therefore we provide abundant opportunities for students to experience understanding and engage in a love for lifelong learning.
