We prepare K-12 school systems and their communities to educate for a sustainable future by inspiring educators and engaging students through meaningful content and learner-centered instruction. We incorporate a whole systems approach, which springs from the recognition that lasting transformation in education requires innovation at the curricular, institutional, and community levels. We offer a variety of products and services, such as professional development, long-term consulting, curriculum design and development, and workshops.

What is Education for Sustainability?
Education for Sustainability (EfS) is defined as a transformative learning process that equips students, teachers, and school systems with the new knowledge and ways of thinking we need to achieve economic prosperity and responsible citizenship while restoring the health of the living systems upon which our lives depend.
How does the Cloud Institute approach EfS?
Our model programs have been co-designed with our partners to meet local and regional needs, and can be replicated and adapted in any place. They are designed to engage students, teachers, and administrators in the process of inventing a sustainable future through authentic curriculum and instruction, community partnerships, service, place-based, and project-based learning.
