Union Institute and University’s Vermont M.Ed. Program

Location: Montpelier, Vermont

The Vermont M.Ed. Program of Union Institute and University is an individualized low-residency program where learners can work in their home locations while earning their degree and teaching license. During the two intensive one-week residencies each year in Montpelier, Vermont, learners attend classes and workshops while planning their course of study for the remainder of the year. Students then send packets of writing and work to their advisors each month, leading up to a student teaching assignment (for those pursuing a license), a written thesis, and a graduation presentation.
